Friedrich Beck (painter)

Friedrich Beck (born December 17, 1873 in Vienna ; † August 13, 1921 there ) was an Austrian painter.

Life

Beck studied for two years at the Graphic Education and Research Institute under Josef Eugen Hörwarter and from 1890 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna under Christian Griepenkerl and Eduard Peithner von Lichtenfels . He became a member of the artists' associations " Jungbund " and Hagenbund and in 1905 a member of the Künstlerhaus, in whose exhibitions he regularly took part. Beck mainly worked as a landscape painter in the Impressionist style, but also made flower pieces and still lifes.
