Friedrich Brunold

Friedrich Brunold , bourgeois August Ferdinand Meyer , (born November 19, 1811 in Pyritz , Pomerania , † February 27, 1894 in Joachimsthal ) was a Brandenburg poet .

Brunold's work, also known as “the old man from Werbellin”, includes a large number of poems, romances, ballads as well as short stories and short stories. He published essays on the history of the Mark Brandenburg .

The Brunoldhaus youth hostel, built in 1926 in Altenhof (Schorfheide) , on the banks of Lake Werbellin , was named after him.
