Friedrich Christoph Weisser
Friedrich Christoph Weisser (born March 7, 1761 in Stuttgart ; † January 9, 1836 there ) was a German writer .
Life
Weisser was the son of a master bookbinder. In 1793 he published his first prose in the Tübingen monthly Flora . The first book edition of his works followed in 1804. Together with Friedrich Haug , he edited a 10-volume epigrammatic anthology (Stuttgart 1807-1809). Weisser is also known for his adaptation of Grimmelshausen's baroque novel Schalkheit und Einfalt, or the simplicissimus of the seventeenth century in the guise of the nineteenth, which appeared in Berlin in 1822 .
