Friedrich Fritz (politician)

Friedrich Fritz (born March 30, 1906 in Welzheim -Gausmannsweiler, † February 24, 1979 in Stuttgart ) was a German CDU politician .

Life and work

After completing secondary school, Fritz, who was of Protestant faith, trained as a farmer. Initially working as a domain administrator in Northern Germany , he took over his parents' dairy farm in 1938. Drafted into the Wehrmacht shortly before the end of the war, he was taken prisoner by the French, from which he was only released in 1948. Fritz was a member of the supervisory board of Württembergische Milchverwertungs AG .

Fritz was a councilor in Welzheim from 1950 to 1956 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1957 to 1961 and from 1965 to 1969 . He represented the Waiblingen constituency in parliament.
