Friedrich Funk (politician, 1900)
Friedrich Jacob Funk (* 3. October 1900 in Neuses am Sand , † 5. August 1963 in Volkach ) was a German politician of the CSU .
Funk, who was of the Protestant denomination, was a soldier in the First World War despite his young age. He then studied agriculture in Munich and Hohenheim and finished his studies as a qualified farmer. In 1932 he took over his parents' lease in Neuses am Sand, which he bought in 1936.
Friedrich Funk was elected to the district council of the Gerolzhofen district in 1948 as a non-party candidate . He joined the CSU in 1949 after being a candidate for the Bundestag and was a member of the German Bundestag from its first election in 1949 until his death in 1963. He was always directly elected to parliament in the constituency of Schweinfurt . 1953 to 1957 he was deputy chairman of the CSU regional group in the CDU / CSU parliamentary group . From 1957 until his death he was deputy chairman of the petitions committee of the Bundestag . On May 17, 1963 he was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit.
