Friedrich Geisselbrecht

Friedrich Geißelbrecht (born October 16, 1895 in Nuremberg , † July 3, 1985 in Munich ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) and SA leader.

Life

After attending elementary school and secondary school, Geißelbrecht took part in the fighting on the Western Front in the 7th field artillery regiment "Prinzregent Luitpold" of the Bavarian Army during the First World War from 1914/18 . In 1917 he was promoted to lieutenant.

After the war, Geißelbrecht earned his living as a merchant. In 1924 he became the People's Court of Munich I because of his involvement in the Hitler putsch of November 9, 1923 when he, as a member of the shock troops of Adolf Hitler , had participated to one and a quarter years imprisonment convicted, but of which he had to settle for only four months.

In March 1925, Geißelbrecht joined the newly founded NSDAP ( membership number 13.065).

On July 8, 1933, Geißelbrecht was appointed head of the Reich Main Office Head of Main Office VII ( auxiliary fund of the NSDAP ) at the Reich Treasurer in Munich. In the SA he reached the rank of SA brigade leader in 1943.

In the Reichstag election on March 29, 1936, he ran unsuccessfully. From April 1938 until the end of the Nazi regime in the spring of 1945, Geißelbrecht was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 18 (South Westphalia) .

In the final phase of the Second World War , Geißelbrecht was arrested by members of the US Army at the end of March 1945 . After the end of the war he was held in the internment camps in Zuffenhausen, Dachau, Ludwigsburg and Fallingbostel from mid-August 1945. On September 25, 1947, he was denazified as incriminated (Group III) and released from internment after a ruling chamber process . The sentence was upheld even after a review process in 1948.
