Friedrich Georg Lebrecht Strippelmann
Friedrich Georg Lebrecht Strippelmann (born May 29, 1804 in Kassel , † February 1, 1889 in Marburg ) was a German lawyer and archivist .
Strippelmann worked as a lawyer in Hessen-Kassel . In 1827 he became a trainee lawyer at the General Auditorium (Supreme Military Court), in 1831 secretary at the criminal senate of the higher court, in 1835 secretary and in 1852 senior judge at the civil senate of the higher court of appeal . In 1862 he became head of the State Archives in Kassel, after the annexation by Prussia in 1867 he became a Prussian state archivist, the archive was moved to Marburg . In April 1868 he was appointed secret archives councilor. In 1877 he retired. In 1857 he received the Dr. jur. hc from the University of Marburg .
