Friedrich August Martin Gerdes (born December 12, 1910 in Varel , † October 19, 1960 in Berlin - Dahlem ) was a German javelin thrower .

biography

Friedrich Gerdes joined the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin in the javelin and took it to 17th place. At German championships Gerdes was able to win a total of four gold medals.

Gerdes died in a car accident in the Berlin district of Dahlem .
