Friedrich Heuck

Friedrich HW Heuck (born January 20, 1921 in Glogau ; † December 13, 2019 ) was a German doctor and university professor .

Life

Heuck studied medicine in Berlin, Danzig, Innsbruck and Vienna and then began to work as an assistant doctor in the X-ray and radiation department of the surgical university clinic in Kiel in 1947. In 1951 he took over the management of the X-ray department at Kiel University Hospital. Heuck completed his habilitation in 1957 with a thesis on stripe atelectasis of the lungs. In 1964, Heuck moved to the Central X-ray Institute at the Katharinenhospital in Stuttgart as Medical Director .

Heuck was a co-founder of the German Society for Osteology , the Society for Biomedical Technology and the German Society for Musculoskeletal Radiology .
