Friedrich Jobst

Heinrich Friedrich Jobst (born January 2, 1786 in Stuttgart , † September 13, 1859 there ) was a drug dealer.

Life

His parents were the Württemberg solo dancer and court dance master Johann Georg Jobst (1758–1829) and Louise Christina Wohlfahrth.

From 1803 to 1806 he completed a commercial apprenticeship in Nuremberg, after which he founded his drug and chemical business and began manufacturing herbal medicinal products and active ingredients.

He married Babette Räbel from Nuremberg. Her descendants were:

  • Friedrich (1814–58), merchant
  • Karl Jobst (1816–1896) chemist, manufacturer
