Friedrich Krebs (papyrologist)

Friedrich "Fritz" Maximilian Krebs (born May 28, 1867 in Berlin ; † April 20, 1900 ) was a German papyrologist .

Cancer studied in Berlin , interrupted by two semesters in Freiburg , Classics and Egyptology . From 1889 he worked as an unskilled worker in the Egyptian department of the royal museums in Berlin, then as assistant to the director he dealt extensively with the collection of Greek papyri. Until his untimely death he worked as head of the papyrus collection in Berlin.
