Friedrich Lepperdinger

Friedrich Lepperdinger (born July 1, 1927 in St. Georgen near Salzburg ) is a Salzburg historian .

Life

Friedrich Lepperdinger was born in Obereching in Sölde Thalleitl on the border between St. Georgen near Salzburg and Bürmoos . After attending primary and secondary school, he graduated from the teacher training institute in Salzburg . From 1948 to 1950 he taught at the Bürmoos elementary school. Then, until his retirement in 1989, he worked at the Oberndorf secondary school .

In addition to his professional work, Lepperdinger studied philosophy and sociology at the University of Salzburg . In 1969 he earned his doctorate in philosophy with a dissertation on Bürmoos.

On September 30, 2006 Friedrich Lepperdinger was made an honorary citizen of the community for his services to research into the history of Bürmoos.
