Friedrich Reinhold von Berg
Friedrich Reinhold von Berg (born December 26, 1736 , † January 5, 1809 in Erlaa, Rodenpois, Posendorf) was a Livonian baron from the von Berg family .
Life
On December 11, 1759, Friedrich Reinhold von Berg began his studies in Leipzig and continued in Strasbourg . He then made trips to Italy (April – June 1762) and France, together with Counts Lynar, Münnich and Reiffenstein. In 1769 he met Johann Gottfried Herder in Riga . He was on friendly terms with Johann Joachim Winckelmann .
As Hofgerichtsassessor he was born on February 11 1772 for District selected. In the same year he became head of the church in the Wendish district. In 1779 he was a member of the commission for the assessment of the government plan for the introduction of the governorship constitution. In 1784 he was appointed judge of conscience.
In 1786, after the constitution was dissolved, he was passed as a budget councilor. In 1797 he rejoined the district council. Until the election of Land Marshal Samson, he led the negotiations on the district administrator and resigned from the district office in 1798. In 1797 he was also president of the court. From 1786 to 1809 he was president of the Livonian non-profit and economic society.
His sons were
- Balthasar Dietrich von Berg (1766–1839), also district administrator, and
- Friedrich August von Berg (1768–1828).
