Friedrich Schade (politician)

Friedrich Peter Conrad Schade , also briefly Fritz Schade (born January 27, 1846 in Merzhausen ; † after 1892), was a Hessian land tenant and politician ( NLP , Freisinn ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hessen .

Friedrich Schade was the son of the economist Daniel Schade and his wife Elisabeth, née Grünwald. Schade, who was of Protestant faith, was a tenant in Altenburg and married Mathilde, born veal, on October 13, 1870 in Alsfeld. As a farmer, he made a name for himself as an innovator in the dairy industry.

Schade was a member of the Alsfeld District Council and the Upper Hesse Provincial Commission . From 1881 to 1893 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse for the constituency of Oberhessen 8 / Alsfeld-Land (Province of Upper Hesse). At that time, the influence of farmers in the Hessian state parliament increased and Schade was an example of this. During the tax debates from 1882 to 1884 he was one of the most vehement advocates of the interests of the rural middle class. He also campaigned against usury in the country. In 1893 he became chairman of the local representation of the newly founded association of farmers . As a result, he was no longer elected to the state parliament in 1893 and 1898. His candidacy for the Reichstag in 1898 in the Alsfeld-Lauterbach-Schotten constituency also failed.
