Friedrich Theodor Withof
Friedrich Theodor Withof (born December 27, 1731 in Duisburg , † September 28, 1782 in Lingen ) was professor of Roman antiquities at the grammar school academicum and rector of the "lower schools", including the Latin school , in Lingen.
Friedrich Theodor Withof was the son of Duisburg professor for eloquence and history Johann Hildebrand Withof and his wife Agnes Margarethe, née Gleim, (1696–1765). One of his brothers was Johann Philipp Lorenz Withof . Friedrich Theodor Withof began studying at the Old University of Duisburg in 1747 , before he enrolled in theology at the academic high school in Lingen in 1748 , which Wilhelm III. University founded by Orange , matriculated. In 1762 he became a professor of Roman antiquities at the academic high school in Lingen. He died on September 28, 1782 in Duisburg.
