Friedrich Thoma (born April 28, 1873 in Göggingen , † after 1934) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Thoma attended the humanistic high school St. Stephan in Augsburg , studied law and economics at the universities of Munich , Erlangen and Heidelberg . In 1898 he passed the university examination, in 1901 he became Dr. jur., In 1902 he passed the state bankruptcy (assessor exam) and then became a lawyer in Augsburg. He served as a one-year volunteer in the Royal Bavarian 3rd Infantry Regiment Prince Karl of Bavaria (Garrison Augsburg) and was then first lieutenant of the Landwehr Infantry I. From 1901 to 1906 he was an assistant teacher for social legislation and police law at the mechanical-technical department of the former Royal Industrial School in Augsburg. Between 1894 and 1906 he was active in the stenographic movement (follower of the steno-tachygraphy), editor of the Süddeutsche Blätter for steno-tachygraphy and author of a guide for learning about steno-tachygraphy. He has been active politically and journalistically since 1900. He was awarded the Bavarian Jubilee Medal and the Second Class Military Service Award . From 1907 to 1918 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies and from March 1911 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Schwaben 6 constituency ( Immenstadt , Sonthofen , Kempten , Lindau ) and the National Liberal Party .

In 1919 he moved to Charlottenburg. In 1925 he was a member of the supervisory board of Actien-Gesellschaft Weser.
