Friedrich Wendorff
Friedrich Wilhelm August Wendorff (born January 1, 1829 in Langenfelde , Pomerania , † 1907 ) was a German judge and parliamentarian.
Life
After graduating from high school in Stralsund in 1847 , Friedrich Wendorff studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In 1848 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Bonn . After completing his studies, he pursued a career as a judge and became a district judge in Stralsund. In 1874 he also became a member of the administrative court in Stralsund. After he had become district court director in Stralsund, he was appointed president of the district court in Stendal in 1888. He owned the Toitz estate near Nossendorf .
From 1873 to 1876, Wendorff was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from the Stralsund 2 constituency (Grimmen, Greifswald) . When he was appointed a member of the administrative court in Stralsund, he lost his mandate on May 21, 1874, but was immediately re-elected. He belonged to the National Liberal Party .
He was married to Caroline Emilie, b. Zober. Hugo Wendorff was a son of the couple. In memory of his son Hermann, who died on August 12, 1876, Friedrich Wendorff set up the Hermann Wendorff Foundation with a capital of 500 Mk. To award a senior at the Stralsund grammar school.
