Friedrich Werber

Friedrich Werber (* 31 May 1901 in Karlsruhe , † 4. January 1981 ) was a German politician of the CDU .

Life and work

Werber attended high school and then studied history, economics and business administration. He received his doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. and then worked as a teacher, most recently at the business school in Karlsruhe. From 1945 he worked in the school administration in North Baden.

Political party

Werber has been politically active in the Center Party since the 1920s . After the Second World War he joined the CDU, for which he was elected to the municipal council of Karlsruhe in 1947.

MP

In 1950 Werber moved into the state parliament of what was then the state of Württemberg-Baden . After the formation of the state of Baden-Württemberg in 1952, he also belonged to the constituent assembly and the first state parliament of the new federal state. After his re-election in the second state parliament in 1956, he resigned from his seat. His successor was Camill Siegwarth . Werber was elected to the German Bundestag as early as 1953 , to which he belonged until 1961.

Public offices

On October 7, 1953, Prime Minister Gebhard Müller brought him into his cabinet as a state councilor and honorary voting member of the state government of Baden-Württemberg in accordance with Article 45 paragraph 2 of the state constitution. Werber also held this office in Müller's second cabinet until December 17, 1958.
