Friedrich-Wilhelm Schlomann
Friedrich-Wilhelm Schlomann (born September 5, 1928 in Lüneburg ) is a German lawyer , journalist and author .
Life
Schlomann was born in Lüneburg. As a 16-year-old he was deployed as a Wehrmacht soldier in the Berlin boiler during the last weeks of the war . There he came into Soviet and later American and British captivity. After successfully escaping from a prisoner-of-war camp, he acquired the general university entrance qualification at a school in Schwerin . After studying law in Rostock and Leipzig , he fled to the Federal Republic in 1950, where he applied to continue his studies at the University of Freiburg.
At that time he was already a member of the investigative committee of freedom lawyers .
After completing his studies and doctorate at the law faculty of the University of Basel , Schlomann got a job in the archive of the Federal Ministry for All-German Issues in Bonn. In 1959 he became a civilian employee in the "Psychological Warfare" ( PSK ) at the Federal Ministry of Defense . From 1950 he worked as a freelancer for Sender Free Berlin . 1970 to 1992 he was an editor in the monitor service of Deutsche Welle .
In the 1990s, Schlomann gave guest lectures at ETH Zurich on the subjects of espionage and psychological warfare.
Schlomann is a freelance author of books mostly on intelligence topics. He is a member of the CDU .
In 1992 Schlomann was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon .
