Friedrich von Kreytzen

Friedrich von Kreytzen (June 1693 ; † March 12, 1765 in Berlin ) was a royal Prussian major general and chief of infantry regiment No. 28.

Life

He came from the noble family von Kreytzen , was a son of Ernst Albrecht von Kreytzen heir to Schreitlack and Luise Charlotte, née von Löbel . He is the younger stepbrother of Lieutenant General Johann Friedrich von Kreytzen and Georg Christoph von Kreytzen . His sister Charlotte Albertine von Kreytzen (* June 21, 1708; † January 20, 1769) later married Lieutenant General Reimar Julius von Schwerin .

In 1724 he came to Infantry Regiment No. 1 where he became an ensign in August 1724. In June 1730 he was promoted to second lieutenant and in March 1739 to premier lieutenant. In the following year, 1740, he got his own company. In 1744 he joined King Friedrich II's entourage as a major . In 1752 he became a lieutenant colonel and in 1756 a colonel. With the beginning of the Seven Years' War he received his own grenadier battalion. It was formed from the grenadier companies of Regiments No. 25 and No. 32 . In 1759 he was given Infantry Regiment No. 28 , but for health reasons he soon asked for his departure, which was also approved.

He was involved in the Rhine campaign of 1733/1734 and was appointed court master to Princes August Ferdinand of Prussia and Heinrich in 1739 .
