Friedrich von der Asseburg (knight)

Friedrich von der Asseburg auf Hindenburg (* before 1664; † November 16, 1704 in Oettingen ) was a knight of the Teutonic Order .

Coming from the old noble family von der Asseburg near Wolfenbüttel, Asseburg was stable master of the Prince-Bishop of Paderborn until 1664 and a candidate for the Teutonic Order from October 13, 1665. On the same date he was appointed stable master of the Grand Master in Mergentheim , and since his profession he also held the title of Komtur zu Münnerstadt. On November 24th the Grand Master ordered him to be House Commander in Freudenthal and at the same time appointed him the real Commander of Münnerstadt and Trappier zu Mergentheim. As a knight of the Franconian Balleibelonging, he was also appointed house commander for Blumenthal in 1671, where he also rose to commandery on July 28, 1676. The Grand Master had previously appointed him House Commander in Eulenburg . On February 19, 1685, he was promoted to councilor of the Ballei Franconia and since 1685 Commander in Ulm, in 1687 he renounced the Kommende Blumenthal. Although there had already been a production for the Commander of Oettingen and Donauwörth on January 9, 1685, he only became Commander there on November 22, 1622 and in 1691 renounced the Kommende Ulm. The Grand Master also appointed him stable master in 1695.
