Friedrichsdorf is a district of Witterda in the Sömmerda district in Thuringia .

location

Friedrichsdorf is located on the northern roof of the Fahner Heights , south of Witterda on Kreisstrasse 20 north of Schaderode and the federal highway 71 and on the edge of the Thuringian Basin .

history

The district of Friedrichsdorf was founded as a small colony by the agricultural inspector Neithardt von Gneisenau in 1780 by order of the Archbishop of Mainz and sovereign Friedrich Karl Joseph von Erthal . In the same place there was already a documented place called Rasdorf or Rosdorf, which disappeared around 1450. Wolfgang Kahl's analysis confirms the existence of this village from 822–842. The place belonged to the neighboring Erfurt kitchen village Witterda . In 1802 he came with this to Prussia and between 1807 and 1813 to the French Principality of Erfurt . With the Congress of Vienna the place came back to Prussia and in 1816 it was incorporated into the Erfurt district in the Prussian province of Saxony . Friedrichsdorf came to Witterda on July 1, 1950.
