Friend of a Friend is a song by the Czech band Lake Malawi and the country's competition entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv , Israel . The song prevailed in the first semifinals on May 14, 2019 and reached eleventh place in the final on May 18, 2019.

Music and lyrics

Singer Albert Cerny, who was already successful with his band Charlie Straight, said: "I have the feeling that this is a great opportunity for our music to be heard all over the world." When the semi-finals were drawn, the Czech Republic was drawn into the first semi-finals on May 14, 2019, offered Friend of a Friend in sixth place and won second place and a total of 242 points, 157 from the jury and 85 from the audience, for the Qualify final. There the song, in third place, reached eleventh place with 157 points, 150 from the jury and only seven from the audience.
