Fritz-Albert Popp

Fritz-Albert Popp (born May 11, 1938 in Frankfurt am Main ; † August 4, 2018 in Meerbusch ) was a German biophysicist who has been researching so-called biophotons since the 1970s . His statements on the origin of biophotons and their alleged function for a hypothetical, light-based cellular information system, however, meet with criticism from the scientific community and are particularly popular in esoteric circles .

biography

Fritz-Albert Popp attended the Ernestinum grammar school in Coburg . He then began studying physics at the universities in Göttingen and Würzburg . He graduated in experimental physics on the subject of quantum mechanics . He completed his doctorate in theoretical physics at the University of Mainz . He completed his habilitation in biophysics at the University of Marburg .
