Fritz Baldauf

Friedrich "Fritz" Baldauf (born April 20, 1898 in Worms ; † September 12, 1962 in Lahr ) was a German entrepreneur .

Career

Baldauf completed an apprenticeship in banking and worked as deputy director of the Rheinische Kreditbank Worms. On December 1, 1929, he moved to the management board of the Emil Waeldin leather factory in Lahr / Black Forest . In 1953 he became a member of the board of directors of the Heylschen Lederwerke in Worms, which as major shareholders were closely linked to the Emil Waeldin leather factory.

After the end of the Second World War and the occupation of Lahr, he was appointed President of the Lahr Chamber of Commerce by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. He resigned at the end of 1946. He was controversial because of his former NSDAP membership, but was one of the closest confidants of Mayor Paul Waeldin . He held other honorary positions in the Federal Association of German Industry and as chairman of the Association of Industry in South Baden.
