Fritz Dittmer

Fritz Dittmer (born February 8, 1889 in Stettin , † January 16, 1970 in Hamburg ) was a German writer and musician. Among other things, he wrote about Pomerania in the Low German language .

Life

Fritz Dittmer was born in Stettin as the son of a railway attendant. He did a commercial apprenticeship, but also devoted himself to playing the violin and violoncello. He was a soldier in the First World War . After the First World War he lived as a musician. Inspired by Hermann Ploetz , he published his first book in 1923 with the stories of collected musicians and comedians , but also wrote for newspapers and calendars. In 1936 he became a soldier again.

After the Second World War he lived in Sankt Michaelisdonn in Dithmarschen . He published several entertaining books; He wrote in the Pomeranian newspaper under the pseudonym Hein Klok von′t Bollwark . He died on January 16, 1970 in Hamburg .
