Fritz Gottlieb Pfister

Fritz Gottlieb Pfister-Weideli (born February 16, 1891 in Basel ; † March 10, 1984 in Erlenbach ZH ) was a Swiss entrepreneur and pioneer in the furniture industry .

Life

Fritz Gottlieb Pfister-Weideli, the youngest son of Johann Jakob Pfister, worked as a businessman in the USA and in Barcelona , where he also worked as a football striker at FC Barcelona . In 1916 he returned to Basel and took over the management of the Pfister furniture store founded by his father in 1882 . Several branches were opened throughout Switzerland under his leadership. The headquarters in Suhr AG started operations in 1939 and became the headquarters in 1941. In 1963 Fritz Gottlieb Pfister resigned from the company's board of directors and resigned from the board in 1971.

A path in Erlenbach ZH is named after Fritz Gottlieb Pfister.
