Fritz Lanz

Fritz Lanz (born June 16, 1922 in Menziken ; † May 26, 2009 in Lucerne , authorized to reside in Auswil and Lucerne) was a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Fritz Lanz, son of Walter Lanz and Heiz, née Ida, was employed as a telecommunications specialist at the then PTT .

Franz Lanz, who joined the Social Democratic Party, was elected to the city ​​of Lucerne's parliament in 1971, and was represented on the city ​​council from 1979 to 1987 . In 1983 the people elected him to the National Council . Lanz, who was a member of the Health and Environment Commission, the Office of the National Council and the alcohol delegation of both councils, left in 1991.

Since 1979 he has presided over the General Building Cooperative in Lucerne .

Fritz Lanz, whose political commitment concerned social and environmental issues, married Hildy, née Hübscher, in 1947.

He died in Lucerne in 2009 at the age of 86.
