Fritz Latzke

Fritz Latzke (born March 6, 1900 in Köslin , † September 29, 1958 in Avenwedde ) was a German politician ( USPD , KPD , UAPD ).

Fritz Latzke attended elementary school in Köslin from 1906 to 1914 . Then he learned the carpentry trade. In 1918 he became a member of the trade union and in 1919 he joined the Independent Social Democratic Party of Germany (USPD). In 1920 Latzke left the USPD and became a member of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD).

In July 1932 , Latzke was elected to the Reichstag as his party's candidate for constituency 6 (Pomerania) , to which he subsequently belonged until November 1932. Since 1929 he was also a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania .

After the Second World War , Fritz Latzke was for a time the district chairman of the West German KPD in Kiel . He was eventually removed from this position for deviating from the party line as an "anti-party agent". He then joined the short-lived Titoist UAPD and was elected to its leadership in March 1951.
