Fritz Lotz

Fritz Lotz (* 1842 in Basel ; † October 10, 1894 ibid) was a Swiss architect and politician .

Life

After finishing school in Basel, Fritz Lotz went to study architecture at the Polytechnic in Zurich in 1860 . Here he was active in the Corps Rhenania . On November 29, 1861, like Hieronimus Seeli , Arnold Bachofen and Wilhelm Bachofen, he was one of the six founders of the Corps Helvetia Zurich (WSC) .

After graduating, he settled in Basel as an architect. Lotz was an officer in the Basel fire department . In 1883 he was appointed captain of the 4th fire department and later commander of the Basel fire department. In the Swiss Army he served as an officer, most recently as a lieutenant colonel in genius. He was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt .

Fritz Lotz was the guild master of the spinning weather guild and since 1867 a member of the Basel Fire Rifle Society , since 1878 as rifle master and since 1881 as upper rifle master. In this function he represented the company at the federal shooting festivals.
