Fritz Müller (painter)
Fritz Müller (born January 9, 1879 in Schiltigheim or Mainz, † August 2, 1957 in Munich ) was a German painter.
Müller graduated from the art academy in Munich . After studying fine arts (graphics and painting), he painted in a strongly expressionistic style at times, until he found classic scenes from the life of his adopted home, Munich.
The so-called “pub scenes” such as During the Wine Tasting (1910) or Bavarian Couple (1911) are particularly well known .
In the twenties he painted expressive paintings with ecclesiastical motifs.
