Fritz Marbach

Fritz Marbach (born July 20, 1892 in Oberwichtrach ; † November 30, 1974 in Bern , resident in Oberwichtrach) was a Swiss economist and politician ( SP ).

Life

Marbach was from 1931 to 1962 professor of economics at the University of Bern . From 1927 to 1965 he was a member of the pricing commission and, during World War II, he was president of the “wage review commission for the Swiss Federal Council”.

Politically, Fritz Marbach was on the city ​​council of Bern from 1915 to 1925, on the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern from 1925 to 1931 and on the National Council from 1931 to 1934 .
