Fritz olives
Fritz Olive (born May 10, 1874 in Breslau , † June 30, 1956 in Porto Alegre , Brazil ) was a German lawyer and writer.
Under the pseudonym Rideamus (Latin: "Let's laugh!"), The Berlin-based Jewish lawyer became a successful writer. His humorous books achieved maximum editions. As a lyricist , librettist and review poet , he worked with Oscar Straus , Walter Kollo and Eduard Künneke and wrote texts for the major Haller reviews. Numerous songs from his pen have been interpreted by Marlene Dietrich . Among other things, he wrote the operettas Die lustigen Nibelungen , Der Vetter aus Dingsda and the revue Noch und noch . In 1939 he emigrated to Brazil . In 1951 the autobiography Rideamus was published. From himself. The story of a serene life .
