Fritz Platenau
Fritz Platenau (born March 13, 1896 in Hanover , † after 1981 ibid) was a German author and homeland researcher.
Life
Platenau grew up in Blomberg-Istrup . He first attended the rectorate school in Blomberg and then until 1916 the agricultural school in Hameln . He took part in the First World War as a soldier and was seriously wounded. In 1921 he initially took over his father's farm in Istrup , but leased it from 1924 and then worked as an agricultural appraiser. He died in Hanover after 1976.
Platenau was also chairman of the horticultural association in Blomberg.
Platenau was committed to the Platt in Lippe. He also wrote the dictionary of Istrian dialect. In addition, Platenau collected a lot from Lippe's local history, about bellies and customs. A number of his writings have appeared in the Lippisches Heimatbund, others in the local press, some have not yet been published and are in manuscripts in the Lippische Landesbibliothek.
