Fritz Reckow

Fritz Reckow (born March 29, 1940 in Bamberg ; † August 30, 1998 in Erlangen ) was a German musicologist.

Life

From 1959 he studied in Erlangen, Freiburg im Breisgau and Basel with Hans Heinrich Eggebrecht , Bruno Stäblein , Reinhold Hammerstein and Leo Franz Schrade . After graduating as Dr. phil. in Freiburg im Breisgau in 1965 and habilitation there in 1977, he became professor in Kiel and in Erlangen in 1987.
