Fritz Schaub

Fritz Schaub (born October 15, 1936 in Zug ) is a Swiss journalist and author .

Life

After graduating from high school in Lucerne , Fritz Schaub studied German , history , musicology , art history , philosophy and journalism at the universities of Zurich and Caen . In 1965 he received his doctorate with a thesis on the writer Otto Wirz . 1965–1966 he was editor of the magazine “Die Woche”, 1967–1979 culture editor for the “ Luzerner Tagblatt ” and then an editorial assistant for the same newspaper as well as the successor newspapers “Luzerner Zeitung” and “ Neue Luzerner Zeitung”". In addition, he worked as an opera critic for several other Swiss newspapers, for example for the " Neue Zürcher Zeitung ", the " Bund " and, since 1997, for the " Aargauer Zeitung ", and has written several books, such as about the Lucerne International Music Festival .
