Fritz Vollbracht (born May 29, 1904 in Simmern / Hunsrück ; † October 27, 1979 ibid.) Was a German politician.

Life and activity

Fritz Vollbracht was a son of the hotel owner Hans Vollbracht. After attending elementary school (1910–1914) and secondary school (1914–1920), he received private tuition for a year before entering the lower prima of secondary school in Bad Kreuznach in early March 1923, where he graduated from high school in early March 1923.

In the summer semester of 1923, Fritz Vollbracht studied natural sciences in Heidelberg . In the winter semester of 1923/1924 he turned to studying economics and social sciences at the University of Cologne . In particular, he dealt with business administration, economics, finance and economic geography. During the lecture-free time he gained practical experience in a bank, a timber wholesaler and a box and furniture factory. He passed his business administration exam in the summer of 1927. In 1930 he received his doctorate there with a thesis on business statistics at the Hotel zum Dr. jur.

In 1932 Fritz Vollbracht became a partner in a tax and economic consultancy office in Mainz . After the Second World War he found a position as a clerk at the Simmern district office . In 1947 he was appointed acting mayor of the Simmern office and in 1948 acting mayor of the city. From 1949 to 1966 he then officiated as city and mayor of Simmern , whereby the focus of his work was on the development and expansion of the city into a district town.

In 1972 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
