Fritz Wagner (painter, 1896)
Fritz Wagner (born May 15, 1896 in Munich ; † April 3, 1939 there ) was a German genre painter who worked in Munich and Frauenchiemsee .
Life
Wagner was a student of Karl Roth and Robert Seitz in Munich and was influenced by Hiasl Maier-Erding . He went on study trips to Italy, Hungary and Romania.
In his Dutch interiors he leaned on Max Gaisser and made portraits of monks in the manner of Eduard von Grützner . Wagner was a member of the Reich Association of German Visual Artists .
