Frode Hagen (born July 23, 1974 in Drammen ) is a former Norwegian handball player .

He played for Drammen HK, SG Flensburg-Handewitt , HSG Nordhorn and FC Barcelona before moving to THW Kiel in 2004 . Until the end of the 2005/06 season, Hagen was an important pillar for the team. Hagen played again for Drammen HK since 2006 .

He made his international debut on October 29, 1994 in Arendal against Egypt . Since then he has played 188 international matches and scored 574 goals. In 2005 he got out of the national team . Two years later, however, he returned to the national team to take part with Norway in the 2008 European Handball Championship in his own country.
