Fruit fruit

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fruit Fruit is a collective term for a group of fruit , in which the fleshy or juicy portions of the fruit wall (pericarp) to be consumed. Lignified parts of the pericarp ( stone fruit ) are usually not suitable for consumption, but depending on the fruit , seeds are also consumed (e.g. seeds in berries).

Fruit fruits include berries ( gooseberries , currants , blueberries , citrus fruits etc.), stone fruits ( cherry , plum , peach etc.) or collective fruits such as raspberries or fruit compounds ( fig , mulberry ).

Preserved fruits that are still hanging on fruit trees and that have already dried out are called fruit mummies . These should definitely be removed in winter as they can transmit pathogens.
