Fuchsia procumbens is a species ofthe evening primrose family (Onagraceae). It is one of the few fuchsia species whose original range is New Zealand .
description
It is one of the fuchsia species that, with some protection, can also overwinter outdoors in Central Europe. It is a small fuchsia that is particularly suitable for the rock garden . The stems are creeping and have small round leaves on them.
The flowers are yellow, which is an unusual color for a fuchsia. The stamens have blue pollen . The fruits are shaped like small plums .
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 22.
