Fox Devil Wild (original Crazy like a Fox ) is an American short film - comedy by Hal Roach in 1926 with Charley Chase .

Charley Chase, who worked on the script, plays a young man who fakes madness in order to escape the marriage arranged by his parents with a woman he does not know, which is actually a reason to marry because he is unknown already into them in love.

The performance of the film was contemporary music accompanied and the film action by subheadings told. It shows Oliver Hardy in a small role, shortly before he started working with Stan Laurel in 1927 and their joint global career as a comedian duo ( Laurel and Hardy ) started in 1927 at Hal Roach.

While at Columbia Pictures , Chase wrote and produced a remake of the film, The Wrong Miss Wright . The film already belonged to the established sound film era.
