Fuheis (الفحيص, DMG al-Fuḥaiṣ ) is a city in al-Balqa Governorate in Jordan . The city, which received city rights in 1962, is located about 20 kilometers northwest of Amman . The approximately 13,171 inhabitants are predominantly Catholic and Orthodox Christians who have lived there since 1874.
Jordan's first brewery, Carakale , has been producing English brewing beers here since 2014.
