The company Fun Factory claims to be one of the largest European manufacturer of erotic toys made of silicone . The company is based in Bremen and sells its vibrators , dildos , butt plugs , love balls and menstrual cups worldwide. It has a subsidiary in the USA that is responsible for sales in North America.
history
Fun Factory GmbH was initiated in 1995 by Dirk Bauer and Michael Pahl and officially founded in 1996. The reason for the establishment was that, in the opinion of the company's founders, there were no sophisticated, high-quality erotic toys on the market for women at that time. In particular, the material was an important point in the considerations. On the kitchen table was created from plasticine the template for the first dildo that the shape of a penguin had and is sold today. All dildos were initially created as individual pieces, a short time later they were equipped with a motor. The company's first vibrator was shaped like a dolphin . Due to the great demand and the development of new and further development of old products, the company grew rapidly. To this day, from the first idea to the final production, all products are manufactured in Bremen and shipped all over the world. In 2003 a subsidiary was founded in the USA.
design
The company tried to set itself apart from the rest of the adult toy market in terms of design and shaping. Penis shapes (e.g. "The Boss") now complement the range, alongside toys in bright colors and shapes. The vibrator with the name "Dolly Dolphin" (previously called "Flipper") is modeled on a dolphin. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the company released an erotic toy under the name "BE · ONE" to build yourself.
Awards
Many of the company's creations have received public awards. For example, the company received the Red Dot Design Award 2008 for its DeLight vibrator as the first erotic toy ever . In the same year there was also an award at the XBIZ Award .
Fun Factory was also awarded design prizes for numerous other creations. There were also further awards at the XBIZ Award in 2012 (2 ×) and 2013.
Material and health
As one of the first manufacturers, Fun Factory relied on silicone and elastomer for its products right from the start . In contrast to common plastics from other manufacturers, the silicone used by the company is free of plasticizers and solvents and is considered to be harmless to health. This has been confirmed in tests by the Öko-Test magazine . Fun Factory does not use materials such as wood .
