Funda Kılıç (born August 17, 1988 in Izmir ) is a Turkish singer and songwriter . She was born in Izmir as the daughter of a family from Ankara . She moved to Belgium with her family when she was six and grew up in Antwerp .

Career

Funda Kılıç was discovered at a party in Brussels by DJ Şahin , who still works as her advisor today. At the age of 19 she took part in the Group Reyting project and has been working as a professional singer ever since.

When the video clip for the song Birini Bıraktım was played at the Grup Reyting Project, the video was viewed millions of times on the Internet and Kılıç went to Istanbul with her band to take part in various television and radio appearances (e.g. on the Beyaz Show ).

Their first single Stand Up was recorded by the Belgian music producer BIP Records and released in 2011. The song rose to number one on many radio lists.

In 2011, Kılıç signed a contract with GNL Records for a Turkish album. The arranger of the album was Iskender Paydas . In October 2012 the album was released with the single Boş ver . The video clip was shot by the Dutch director Svenno Koemans ( Pixel Heaven ) in Amsterdam .

Kılıç represented Turkey at the 2014 Türkvizyon in the Russian city ​​of Kazan with the song Hoppa and reached the final.

Private

Funda was in a relationship with the Turkish pop singer Tarkan .
