The Fusilier Mountain is a 810 m (according to British data 821 m ) high mountain on the north coast of South Georgia . It rises 4.3 km west of Mount Skittle on the northern flank of the Heaney Glacier .
The South Georgia Survey gave him during 1951-1952 carried out surveying the name of Dome Mountain (English for Dome Mountain ). The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee decided in 1991 to name the mountain after the Royal Fusiliers , the oldest association of the British Army, founded in 1685 . A delegation from this unit was stationed in Grytviken in 1988 .
