The lining wall with pavilion is a building on Alexanderstrasse in Darmstadt .
History and description
In 1829 a retaining wall was built to lower the northern side of Alexanderstraße. When the former tram line was built through Alexanderstrasse in 1906, the lining wall was set back to the south. The architect August Buxbaum designed the wall from embossed red sandstone blocks using the original cast iron grating between the pillars made of rectangular stone posts.
The final toilet pavilion at the western end of the lining wall was built on a round floor plan with an octagonal roof. The roof of the pavilion is slated .
