Gösta Brännström ( Gösta Martin Brännström; born October 6, 1926 in Jörn , Skellefteå ; † March 7, 1997 in Skellefteå ) was a Swedish sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .
At the European Athletics Championships in Brussels in 1950, he won bronze in the 4 x 400 meter relay and reached the semifinals over 400 meters .
In 1952 he retired from the Olympic Games in Helsinki over 400 m and in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the preliminary run.
At the EM in 1954 in Bern, he was fourth in the 4 x 400 meter relay and failed over 400 m in the first round.
In 1951, 1953 and 1956 he was Swedish champion. He set his personal best of 47.4 s on September 12, 1953 in Budapest .
