Götz Rohdewald

Götz Rohdewald (born July 1, 1975 in Münster ) is a former German basketball player and coach. The 1.93-meter-tall winger played for Bramsche, Bonn and Oldenburg in the Bundesliga basketball league .

career

Jan Rohdewald's younger brother began his basketball club career at UBC Münster . At BG Bramsche / Osnabrück he made the leap into the basketball league and also took part in the European Cup ( Korać Cup ) with the Lower Saxony .

In 1995 Rohdewald moved to the second division Telekom Baskets Bonn , with whom he won the unbeaten championship in the first season and was promoted to the Bundesliga. He played in Bonn until 2000 and was German runner-up with the team in 1997 and 1999. He was also active with the Rhinelander in European club competitions, namely the Korać Cup and Saporta Cup . Rohdewald mostly acted as a supplementary player in Bonn who brought in his strengths as a good defender.

Between 2000 and 2002 he played for TSV Quakenbrück in the 2nd Bundesliga North and returned to the top German league when he moved to EWE Baskets Oldenburg in 2002. There he played until 2005 and in the following two years ended his competitive sports career with the Oldenburg TB in the first regional league.

From the 2007/08 season he coached the men's team of his home club UBC Münster in the second regional league and led them to promotion in 2009. After the 2011/12 season, he left as a UBC coach.
