Göztepe is a district and district ( Turkish mahalle ) of the municipality of Kadıköy in the Turkish province of Istanbul . It was created during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid II (1876-1909) as a place of residence for senior officials.
With an area of around 10,000 m 2 , the city park of Göztepe is the largest green space along the Baghdad Chaussee .
